Gillette squeaks by Yellowstone, 4-3

The game between Gillette and Yellowstone was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Gillette emerged with a 4-3 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Tyler Johnson secured the win for Gillette with a goal in the third period.

Johnson had two goals to lead Gillette to victory.

Gillette kept Yellowstone's goalie busy throughout the game, and Trevor Zangs made 27 saves on 31 shots.

Gillette also got a goal from Trent Dillinger as well. Other players who recorded assists for Gillette were Taylor Motsinger, who had two and Ronnie Wilshusen, Andrew Lillard, Adam Pecht, Matt Rose, and Tyler Cavan, who contributed one a piece.

Yellowstone was led by Jimmy Tich, who registered one goal and one assist. Tich scored on the power play 2:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Yellowstone. Yellowstone had gotten the advantage when Gillette's Dillinger was sent off for interference. Sam Basich picked up the assist. Tanner Fricke also scored for Yellowstone. More assists for Yellowstone came via Oli Jansson, Brandon Busse, and Josh Neumann, who each chipped in one.

Brandon Kruckenberg rejected 24 shots on goal for Gillette. Gillette incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Yellowstone incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
