Huge game by Andre boosts Yellowstone over Missoula, 6-3

Chris Andre had two goals and two assists to lead Yellowstone to a 6-3 victory over Missoula.

Andre found the back of the net 14:43 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Yellowstone and again while 19:15 into the third to make the score 6-3 Yellowstone.

Missoula's power play was ineffective against Yellowstone's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Yellowstone forced Missoula goalie Mckinlee Baum to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots.

Yellowstone additionally got points from Michael Berens, who also grabbed two goals and two assists. Sam Basich also scored for Yellowstone. In addition, Yellowstone received assists from Orri Haman, who had four and Taylor Linder, George Splichal, Brandon Busse, and Josh Neumann, who contributed one a piece.

Missoula excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.

Missoula was helped by Viktor Steenson, who tallied one goal and one assist. Steenson scored 13:18 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Missoula. Brett Mathews provided the assist. Missoula also got points from Mathews, who also had one goal and one assist. Missoula also got a goal from Gabe Whiteman-Jones as well. Other players who recorded assists for Missoula were Tyler Zandhuisen, Dustin Pierce, and Michael Cummings, who each chipped in one.

Trevor Zangs made seven saves before being replaced by JT Blum, who took the win and made 14 saves. Yellowstone incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Mckinlee Baum made 45 saves for Missoula on 50 shots. Missoula incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
