The Deseronto Storm was within striking distance after one period, but the Picton Pirates put the pedal down in the second en route to a 13-2 victory.

Eric Hayes was all over the ice for Picton, as he tallied two goals and three assists in the win. Hayes scored the first of his two goals at 19:10 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Picton. Nolan Powers assisted on the tally. Hayes' next tally made the score 9-1 Picton with 34 seconds left in the second period. Jack Davison picked up the assist.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 4:01 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with three game misconducts.

Picton additionally got points from Davison, who also had one goal and three assists, Riley Main, who also grabbed two goals and two assists, Jacob Panetta, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Levi George, who also registered one goal and four assists, Ryan Sizer, who also had three goals and one assist, and Cole Bolton, who also grabbed one goal and three assists. Picton also got a goal from Jeff Kingdon as well. More assists for Picton came via Brandon Peever and Mitchell Smith, who each chipped in one and Braeden Walsh and Evan Greer, who contributed two a piece.

The Storm were led by Corey Prince, who racked up one goal and one assist. Prince scored 14:51 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Carson Nelles provided the assist. Jordan Cannons also scored for Deseronto.

Picton's Adam Wood stopped 19 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Pirates totaled 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Picton ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Walsh was ejected from the game. Ben Elliot recorded 69 saves for Deseronto. The Storm totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. For Deseronto, Riley Muise was ejected from the game.
