Picton blows out Napanee, 6-2

The Picton Pirates were firing on all cylinders against the Napanee Raiders, and when the final buzzer sounded Pirates emerged with a 6-2 win.

Picton was paced by Geoff Cleminson, who racked up one goal and one assist. Cleminson scored 2:30 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Picton. Brad Jacklin picked up the assist.

The Pirates' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Napanee power plays. Napanee was unable to stop Picton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Pirates eventually piled up 42 shots on goal.

Picton additionally got points from Ryan Sizer, who also had one goal and one assist. Picton also got a goal from Jack Davison as well. In addition, Picton received assists from Steven Csanyi and Brandon Peever, who each chipped in one and Evan Greer and Coleman Foisy, who contributed two a piece.

The Raiders were led by Jayden Adams, who tallied one goal. Adams scored 5:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Napanee. Chris Doyle provided the assist. Bud Norris also scored for Napanee. Other players who recorded assists for Napanee were Luke Emmons and Evan Brown, who each chipped in one.

Andrew Pearson recorded 27 saves for Picton. The Pirates incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Napanee's Mike Brogee stopped 36 shots out of the 42 that he faced. The Raiders incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
