The Deseronto Storm beat the Napanee Raiders, 3-1, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

Napanee was stymied by the Storm netminder Ben Elliot, who stopped 55 shots during the victory. Elliot managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 6.5 prior to the game.

Deseronto was led by Jesse Burtch, who racked up one goal. Burtch scored 15:46 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Deseronto. Nick ferguson assisted on the tally.

The Raiders were unable to stop the Storm from sending pucks towards the net, and Deseronto eventually piled up 45 shots on goal.

Deseronto also got a goal from Jared Boomhower as well. More assists for Deseronto came via Corey Prince, who had one.

Napanee did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Raiders put an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game. Napanee's offense rang up 56 shots on the Storm's net.

The Raiders were led by Luke Emmons, who scored the team's only goal. Emmons scored on the power play 58 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 Deseronto. Napanee had gotten the advantage when Deseronto's Muise was sent off for roughing after whistle. Adam Shulist provided the assist.

The Storm totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Deseronto ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brandon Turner was ejected from the game. Mike Brogee made 42 saves for the Raiders on 44 shots.
