The Amherstview Jets had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Napanee Raiders.

Napanee was stymied by Amherstview netminder James DAndrea, who stopped 35 shots during the victory. DAndrea managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.35 prior to the game.

The Jets were sparked by Dan Chadwick, who grabbed one goal. Chadwick scored 2:17 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Amherstview. Nic Pascoal picked up the assist.

Amherstview stifled the Raiders' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Jets' offense rang up 48 shots on Napanee's net.

Amherstview additionally got points from Jake Hulton, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Amherstview also got a goal from Brandon Gilmour as well. Other players who recorded assists for Amherstview were Brody Taylor, who had two and Brett Yake, Liam Vanburen, Adam Alcorn, and Alex Wilson, who contributed one a piece.

The Raiders did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Napanee averages 3.2 goals per game. The Raiders' offense rang up 36 shots on Amherstview's net. Napanee could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Raiders were led by Evan Brown, who scored the team's only goal. Brown scored 1:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Napanee. Ryan Thistlethwaite assisted on the tally.

The Jets incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Amherstview ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Vanburen was ejected from the game. Napanee's Mike Brogee stopped 43 shots out of the 48 that he faced. The Raiders registered zero goals on five power play opportunities. For Napanee, Thistlethwaite was ejected from the game.
