The Port Hope Panthers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Amherstview Jets on the way to a 7-5 win. Port Hope made the score 7-2 on a goal by Dan Lagrois at 4:15 in the third period, and Amherstview got as close as 7-5 when Brandon Gilmour scored 19:53 into the third period. The Panthers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Amherstview power plays. Port Hope kept the Jets' goalie busy throughout the game, and James DAndrea made 26 saves on 33 shots. The Panthers outdid their season average for goals scored. Port Hope averages 4.3 goals per game. The Panthers were helped by Ryan Wilkinson, who finished with one goal. Wilkinson scored 13:32 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Amherstview. Logan Arsenault provided the assist. Port Hope additionally got points from Kyle Sullivan, who also had one goal and one assist, Jacob Spicer, who also registered one goal and one assist, Ryan Hickey, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Arsenault, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points.
