Garrett Moore netted a hat trick to lead the Carleton Place Canadians over the Brockville Braves, 7-1. Moore got on the scoresheet 15:17 into the second period. He then added goals at 2:29 into the third and at 5:11 into the third.Brockville fell victim to a deadly Carleton Place power play, which ripped the Braves for four goals. The Canadians forced Brockville goalie Andrew Pikul to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. Carleton Place bested its season scoring average. This season, the Canadians average 4.0 goals per contest. Carleton Place's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Canadians finished with 22 penalty minutes. Carleton Place also got points from Alex Globke, who also racked up one goal and three assists. Carleton Place also got a goal from Kevin Dufour as well. More assists for Carleton Place came via Brock Edwards, who had two, Evan Peterson, who had four, and Elias Ghantous, Jide Idowu, and Stephen Bayliss, who each chipped in one. The Braves were held below their usual level of production. Brockville averages 3.5 goals per game. The Braves could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. Brockville was led by David Ferreira, who scored the team's only goal. Ferreira scored on the power play 12:33 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Carleton Place. The Braves earned a power play opportunity when Idowu was put in the box for delay of game. Zach Todd picked up the assist. Brendan Oneill made 19 saves for Carleton Place on 20 shots. Pikul recorded 35 saves for Brockville. The Braves registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
