Nepean's Neil deadly on offense in 5-2 win against Smiths FallsSmiths Falls Memorial Centre Fri, Mar 01, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Nepean Raiders relied on the scoring touch of Kenneth Neil, who netted two goals, to beat the Smiths Falls Bears, 5-2. Neil found the back of the net 8:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Nepean and again while on the power play 12:07 into the second to make the score 3-1 Nepean.Nepean's penalty kill excelled, as the Raiders gave up zero goals despite allowing nine power plays. The Nepean penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled nine minors and one major for 33 minutes in penalty time. The Raiders had been averaging 20.0 minutes in penalties per game. Nepean stifled Smiths Falls' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
