Cornwall downs Gloucester in overtime, 4-3 (OT)Ed Lumley Arena Thu, Feb 28, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Pietro Antonelli gave the Cornwall Colts a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Gloucester Rangers when he scored 4:14 into the extra period. Cornwall came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Colts trailed 2-0 after a goal by Gloucester's Dean Derouchie at 1:00 in the second period. Cornwall knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Cullen Van Strien at 19:17 in the third period. Antonelli was all over the ice for the Colts, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Antonelli scored the first of his two goals at 15:10 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Cornwall. Michael Pontarelli provided the assist. Antonelli's next tally made the score 4-3 Cornwall with 15:46 left in overtime. Anthony Sanniti assisted on the tally. Cornwall forced the Rangers goalie Doug Johnston to work between the pipes, taking 61 shots. Cornwall also got points from Pontarelli, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Cornwall also got a goal from Billy Ulrick as well. More assists for Cornwall came via Carl Belizario and Marly Quince, who contributed one a piece. In addition, Gloucester received assists from Stevie Ray Adams, who had two and Keegan Rowe, Patrick White, Shane Topf, and Maxim Cote, who each chipped in one. Jordan Piccolino recorded 21 saves for the Colts. Cornwall incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Gloucester's Johnston stopped 57 shots out of the 61 that he faced. The Rangers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
