Gloucester holds on for 5-3 win against PembrokeEarl Armstrong Arena Fri, Feb 15, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Pembroke Lumber Kings tried to dig themselves out of a four-goal hole, but the Gloucester Rangers held on for a 5-3 victory. A goal by Austin Romzek put Gloucester up 5-1 in the third period, but Pembroke pulled to within two on Liam Biard's tally 16:07 into the third period. Stevie Ray Adams had a great game for the Rangers, netting two goals. Adams scored at 12:01 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Gloucester and again while 6:03 into the second to make the score 3-1 Gloucester. Gloucester's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Pembroke power plays. The Rangers forced the Lumber Kings goalie Andy Munroe to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. Gloucester outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, the Rangers average 2.7 goals per contest. Gloucester additionally got points from Patrick White, who also registered one goal and one assist. Keegan Rowe also scored for Gloucester. More assists for Gloucester came via Andrew Rossy, Eric Ferguson, and Shane Topf, who each chipped in one. Pembroke's offense rang up 34 shots on Gloucester's net. Pembroke also got a goal from Jordan Larson as well. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Emilio Audi, who had two and Charlie Connell, Stephen Hrehoriak, and Ben Dalpe, who contributed one a piece. Dylan BrindAmour recorded 31 saves for the Rangers. Gloucester incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Munroe rejected 26 shots on goal for the Lumber Kings. Pembroke incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
