Michael Pontarelli lifted the Cornwall Colts to a 6-3 victory with a hat trick against the Carleton Place Canadians. Pontarelli got on the scoresheet 16:52 into the second period. He then added goals at 3:04 into the third and at 16:22 into the third.Cornwall's offense rang up 43 shots on Carleton Place's net. The Colts' penalty kill was ineffective, and let in two goals to the Canadians' power play unit. Cornwall additionally got points from Billy Ulrick, who also registered one goal and one assist, Mitch Zion, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Jake Martin, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Cornwall were Carl Belizario, who had two and Anthony Sanniti, Pietro Antonelli, Tanner Spink, Stephen Johnson, and Kevin Hope, who each chipped in one. Carleton Place kept Cornwall's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jordan Piccolino made 33 saves on 36 shots. The Canadians were helped by Tyson Stewart, who racked up one goal. Stewart scored 14:23 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Cornwall. Evan Peterson picked up the assist. Carleton Place also got points from Brock Edwards, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Carleton Place also got a goal from Jide Idowu as well.
