Pembroke wins tough contest against Brockville, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Pembroke Lumber Kings escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Brockville Braves.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Liam Biard's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Pembroke pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes.

The Lumber Kings were led by Biard, who registered one goal. Biard scored 19:31 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Pembroke. Stephen Hrehoriak assisted on the tally.

Carl Greco also scored for Pembroke. More assists for Pembroke came via Charlie Connell, Jordan Boucher-Gould, Patrice Wren, Jordan Larson, and Timmy Moore, who each chipped in one.

Brockville's offense rang up 34 shots on Pembroke's net.

The Braves were helped by Griffen Molino, who had one goal. Molino scored 7:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brockville. Joey House picked up the assist. Brockville also got a goal from Hayden Hulton as well. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville were Shane Riddell and Zach Todd, who contributed one a piece.

Andy Munroe recorded 32 saves for the Lumber Kings. Pembroke registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Andrew Pikul rejected 19 shots on goal for Brockville. The Braves incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
