Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Brockville Braves defeated the Pembroke Lumber Kings in a shootout 3-2 (2-1 SO). The shootout featured eight attempts between both teams. Pembroke's shootout goal was scored by Emilio Audi. In addition to the clincher, Brockville got a shootout goal from Chris Roll.The Braves saw a two-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. Brockville made the score 2-0 on a goal by David Ferreira at 7:29 in the third period. The Lumber Kings evened things up at 2-2 on a goal by Ben Dalpe at 18:58 in the third period. Pembroke's power play was ineffective against the Braves' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Brockville's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Pembroke power plays. The Lumber Kings were unable to stop the Braves from sending pucks towards the net, and Brockville eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Brockville additionally got points from Roll, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville were Zach Todd, Ben Blasko, and Joey House, who each chipped in one. Pembroke forced the Braves goalie Andrew Pikul to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Jordan Boucher-Gould also scored for Pembroke. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Charlie Connell, Brendan Mcguire, Patrice Wren, and Jordan Larson, who contributed one a piece. Andrew Pikul made 33 saves for Brockville on 35 shots. The Braves incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Darren Smith recorded 31 saves for the Lumber Kings. Pembroke incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
