Carleton Place rolls over Gloucester, 5-1

The Gloucester Rangers had trouble finding ways to stop the Carleton Place Canadians, which beat Rangers, 5-1.

Brock Edwards had one goal and two assists to lead Carleton Place. Edwards scored on the power play 8:41 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Carleton Place. The Canadians had gained a power play chance when Patrick White was whistled for tripping. Kevin Dufour assisted on the tally.

Carleton Place was led by goalie Brendan Oneill, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. Oneill managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.42 prior to the game.

The Canadians excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Gloucester was unable to stop Carleton Place from sending pucks towards the net, and the Canadians eventually piled up 49 shots on goal.

Carleton Place also got points from Dufour, who also had one goal and one assist and Alex Globke, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Carleton Place also got a goal from Garrett Moore as well. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Jide Idowu, Luke Martin, Anthony McVeigh, and Kelly Summers, who contributed one a piece.

The Rangers were led by Dean Derouchie, who scored the team's only goal. Derouchie scored 9:40 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Carleton Place. Matt Rosebrook picked up the assist.

Carleton Place incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Gloucester's Dylan BrindAmour stopped 44 shots out of the 49 that he faced. The Rangers incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
