Huge game by Boucher-Gould boosts Pembroke over Nepean, 8-5

Jordan Boucher-Gould was all over the ice for the Pembroke Lumber Kings, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Pembroke's 8-5 win over the Nepean Raiders.

Boucher-Gould's tallies came on the power play at 3:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pembroke and on the power play 19:56 into the first to make the score 4-1 Pembroke.

The Lumber Kings forced Raiders' netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, ripping 35 shots and forcing 27 saves. Matt Zawadzki made 25 stops and Ryan Mulder made two. Pembroke found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Lumber Kings average 3.7 goals per game.

Pembroke additionally got points from Patrice Wren, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Liam Biard, who also had one goal and one assist. Pembroke also had goals scored by Timmy Moore, who had one and Brendan Mcguire, who had three. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Carl Greco, who had three and Charlie Connell and Emilio Audi, who each chipped in two.

Nepean forced Pembroke goalie Darren Smith to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. The Raiders could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Nepean was helped by Philippe Drouin, who registered one goal. Drouin scored 1:46 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Pembroke. Brandon Watt provided the assist. Nepean also got points from Dalen Hedges, who also grabbed two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Nepean also got a goal from Richard Therrien as well. Other players who recorded assists for Nepean were Cory Durocher, Tanner Williams, Keenan Hodgson, Kenneth Neil, Brent Norris, and Cameron Yarwood, who contributed one a piece.

The Lumber Kings' Smith stopped 37 shots out of the 42 that he faced. Pembroke incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Raiders registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
