Brockville beats Cumberland 4-0 as Jenkins gains shutout

Matthew Jenkins made 33 saves to complete the shutout and led the Brockville Braves to a 4-0 win against the Cumberland Grads.

Brockville's penalty kill excelled, as the Braves gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Brockville was led by Anthony Pino, who registered one goal and one assist. Pino scored 17:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brockville. Joey House provided the assist.

The Braves stifled Cumberland's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Grads were unable to stop Brockville from sending pucks towards the net, and the Braves eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

Brockville additionally got points from David Ferreira, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Shane Riddell also scored for Brockville. More assists for Brockville came via Zach Todd, Griffen Molino, and Kevin Kirisits, who each chipped in one.

Cumberland was held below its usual level of production. The Grads average 2.9 goals per game. The defense for Cumberland tightened up when it had players in the penalty box, as it let in one goal on 12 Brockville power plays. The Grads' offense rang up 33 shots on the Braves' net.

Brockville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Devan Tremblay made 33 saves for Cumberland on 37 shots. The Grads incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
