Cornwall rips Ottawa, 5-1Ed Lumley Arena Thu, Jan 17, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Cornwall Colts were firing on all cylinders against the Ottawa Senators, and when the final buzzer sounded Colts emerged with a 5-1 win. Cornwall was paced by Pierre Ouellette, who grabbed one goal. Ouellette scored 1:43 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Cornwall. Khalid Alli assisted on the tally. The Colts forced Ottawa goalie Charlie Millen to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. Cornwall additionally got points from Alli, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Mitch Zion, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Kevin Hope, who also had one goal and one assist. Cornwall also got a goal from Pietro Antonelli as well. In addition, Cornwall received assists from Parker Krol, Anthony Sanniti, and Marly Quince, who each chipped in one and Michael Pontarelli and Stephen Johnson, who contributed two a piece. The Senators did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Ottawa puts an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game. Eric Clitsome also scored for Ottawa. More assists for Ottawa came via Ryan Collins and Greg Jansz, who each chipped in one. Cornwall's Jordan Piccolino stopped 16 shots out of the 17 that he faced. The Colts totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 2-for-8 on the power play. For Cornwall, Billy Ulrick was ejected from the game. Charlie Millen made 42 saves for the Senators on 47 shots. Ottawa incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
