Brockville rides Jenkins to victory over Kemptville, 3-1

The Brockville Braves relied on the sparkling performance of Matthew Jenkins in net to grab a 3-1 win against the Kemptville 73s.

Brockville's penalty kill excelled, as the Braves gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Brockville was led by Joey House, who racked up one goal. House scored 2:47 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Brockville. Griffen Molino assisted on the tally.

The Braves stifled Kemptville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Brockville additionally got points from Ben Blasko, who also had one goal and one assist and David Ferreira, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Brockville came via Zach Todd, Chris Roll, and Anthony Pino, who contributed one a piece.

The 73s were led by Ben St Marseille, who scored the team's only goal. St Marseille scored 19:43 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Cole Allard picked up the assist.

Jenkins recorded 27 saves for Brockville. The Braves incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Kemptville's Jacob Tugnutt stopped 20 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The 73s incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
