Anderson's big game bests Pembroke in 5-2 Hawkesbury win

Holden Anderson had two goals and one assist to lead the Hawkesbury Hawks to a 5-2 victory over the Pembroke Lumber Kings.

Anderson's tallies came on the power play at 7:38 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Hawkesbury and on the power play 10:30 into the third to make the score 3-2 Hawkesbury.

Hawkesbury pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

The Hawks got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Hawkesbury also got points from Travis Meyer, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Yanik Laliberte, who also had one goal and one assist, and Carl Faucher, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Hawkesbury came via Francis Landers, who had two and Roman Ammirato and Justin Villeneuve, who contributed one a piece.

Pembroke was helped by Keegan Harper, who tallied one goal. Harper scored on the power play 7:45 into the third period to make the score 2-2. The Lumber Kings had gained a power play chance when Mathieu Galipeau was whistled for tripping. Ben Dalpe picked up the assist. Pembroke additionally got points from Jordan Larson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Stephen Hrehoriak, who had one.

Carmine Guerriero rejected 23 shots on goal for Hawkesbury. The Hawks registered three goals on seven power play opportunities. Andy Munroe recorded 24 saves for Pembroke. The Lumber Kings incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
