Globke's goals lift Carleton Place to 6-2 victory over Ottawa

Alex Globke had two goals to lead the Carleton Place Canadians to a 6-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators.

Globke found the back of the net on the power play 3:17 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Carleton Place and again while 15:24 into the second to make the score 3-0 Carleton Place.

Carleton Place's offense rang up 41 shots on Ottawa's net. The Canadians bested their season scoring average. Carleton Place has scored at the pace of 3.7 goals per game during the current campaign.

Carleton Place additionally got points from Garrett Moore, who also had one goal and one assist, Tyson Stewart, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Brock Edwards, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Carleton Place also got a goal from Luke Edwards as well. More assists for Carleton Place came via Larry Smith, Kevin Dufour, Jide Idowu, Alex Frere, Christian Weidauer, Kelly Summers, and Evan Peterson, who contributed one a piece.

The Senators were led by Hunter Racine, who registered one goal and one assist. Racine scored 8:14 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Carleton Place. Luc Deschamps assisted on the tally. Riley Hennigar also scored for Ottawa. In addition, Ottawa received assists from Owen Werthner, who had one.

Brendan Oneill rejected 13 shots on goal for the Canadians. Carleton Place incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Charlie Millen recorded 35 saves for Ottawa. The Senators incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
