Kanata downs Ottawa in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Fabian Walsh gave the Kanata Stallions a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Ottawa Senators when he scored 1:55 into the extra period.

Kanata also got points from Brandon Petrie, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Alex Robinson also scored for Kanata. In addition, Kanata received assists from Joe Breslin, who had two and Curtis Watson, Derian Plouffe, Devin Fullum, and Niles Owen, who contributed one a piece.

Ottawa kept Kanata's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brandon Lane made 39 saves on 43 shots.

The Senators were led by Greg Jansz, who had three goals and one assist. Ottawa also got a goal from Hunter Racine as well. Other players who recorded assists for Ottawa were Ryan Collins, Owen Werthner, and Joe Shecter, who each chipped in one and Justin Charbonneau and Ben Robillard, who contributed two a piece.

The Stallions totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. For Kanata, Doug Harvey was ejected from the game.
