Gloucester holds on for 3-2 win against Kemptville

The Kemptville 73s tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Gloucester Rangers held on for a 3-2 victory.

Gloucester made the score 3-0 on a goal by Patrick White at 16:30 in the second period, and Kemptville got as close as 3-2 when Jesse Blais scored 19:24 into the third period.

The Rangers kept the 73s' goalie busy throughout the game, and Billy Cooper made 34 saves on 37 shots.

Gloucester was helped by Myckauly Melanson, who finished with one goal. Melanson scored 7:21 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Gloucester. Dylan Giberson provided the assist. Gloucester also got a goal from Carl-Philippe Ouimet as well. More assists for Gloucester came via Keegan Rowe, who had one.

Kemptville put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Rangers to score on any of their eight power plays.

The 73s were led by Joey House, who grabbed one goal and one assist. House scored 12:26 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Gloucester. Cole Allard assisted on the tally. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Brandon Seatter, who had one.

Dylan BrindAmour made 22 saves for Gloucester on 24 shots. The Rangers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Kemptville incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
