Pembroke holds on for 4-3 win against NepeanPembroke Memorial Center Fri, Dec 14, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Nepean Raiders tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Pembroke Lumber Kings held on for a 4-3 victory. Pembroke made the score 4-2 on a goal by Stephen Hrehoriak at 8:44 in the third period, and Nepean got as close as 4-3 when Dalen Hedges scored 18:16 into the third period. Hrehoriak had a great game for the Lumber Kings, netting two goals. Pembroke also got a goal from Jordan Boucher-Gould as well. Other players who recorded assists for Pembroke were Liam Biard, who had three and Michael Crocock, Charlie Connell, Brendan Mcguire, Emilio Audi, and Jordan Larson, who contributed one a piece. The Raiders kept Pembroke's goalie busy throughout the game, and Darren Smith made 36 saves on 39 shots. Nepean was helped by Mitchell Herlihey, who grabbed one goal. Herlihey scored on the power play 6:49 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Pembroke. The Raiders earned a power play opportunity when Cody Trowell was put in the box for too many men. Brandon Watt assisted on the tally. Alex ODea also scored for Nepean. More assists for Nepean came via Stephan Beauvais, Tanner Williams, Kenneth Neil, Zach Rodier, and Alexander Vazquez, who each chipped in one. The Lumber Kings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Nepean's Ryan Mulder stopped 15 shots out of the 19 that he faced. The Raiders incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
