The Carleton Place Canadians gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Nepean Raiders. Carleton Place gained the winning advantage on a goal by Luke Martin 14:53 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. The Canadians were paced by Martin, who registered one goal and one assist. Carleton Place put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Nepean to score on any of its three power plays. The Canadians forced the Raiders goalie Matt Zawadzki to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Jim Pearson also scored for Carleton Place. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Jackson Howe, Jide Idowu, Luke Edwards, Alex Globke, and Evan Peterson, who each chipped in one. Nepean's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Carleton Place power plays. The Raiders' offense rang up 33 shots on Carleton Place's net. Nepean was helped by Zach Rodier, who finished with one goal. Rodier scored 13:59 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Carleton Place. Dalen Hedges picked up the assist. The Canadians ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Stephen Bayliss was ejected from the game. Zawadzki recorded 32 saves for the Raiders.
