Mulder, Nepean blank Kemptville, 5-0

Ryan Mulder made 34 saves to complete the shutout and led the Nepean Raiders to a 5-0 win against the Kemptville 73s.

Vincent Llorca had one goal and two assists to lead Nepean. Llorca scored 15 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Nepean. Stephan Beauvais provided the assist.

The Raiders stifled Kemptville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Nepean's defense was surprisingly good. The Raiders average 2.6 goals allowed per game. The 73s were unable to stop Nepean from sending pucks towards the net, and the Raiders eventually piled up 47 shots on goal.

Nepean also got points from Beauvais, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Zach Rodier, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Mitchell Herlihey also scored for Nepean. In addition, Nepean received assists from Phil Nasca, who had two and Brandon Watt, Kenneth Neil, and Alexander Vazquez, who contributed one a piece.

Kemptville could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The 73s average 2.4 goals per game. Kemptville forced Nepean goalie Mulder to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

The Raiders incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Jacob Tugnutt rejected 42 shots on goal for the 73s. Kemptville incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
