Huge game by Gaudet boosts Pembroke over Kanata, 7-2Kanata Recreational Complex Tue, Nov 27, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Pembroke Lumber Kings' Tyler Gaudet had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 7-2 win over the Kanata Stallions. Gaudet scored at 8:31 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Pembroke and again while on the power play 10:57 into the second to make the score 4-2 Pembroke.Pembroke made Stallions' goalies to work in net, launching 33 shots and forcing 26 saves. Brandon Lane made 25 stops and Brayden St-Germain made one. The Lumber Kings stifled Kanata's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Pembroke surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Lumber Kings average 3.7 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Pembroke additionally got points from Charlie Connell, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Jordan Boucher-Gould, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Pembroke also had goals scored by Ben Dalpe, who had one and Keegan Harper, who had two. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Timmy Moore, who had four and Emilio Audi, Patrice Wren, and Jordan Larson, who each chipped in two. The Stallions were helped by Braedan Moffatt, who racked up one goal. Moffatt scored 6:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kanata. Curtis Watson assisted on the tally. Derian Plouffe also scored for Kanata. More assists for Kanata came via Doug Harvey, who had one. Darren Smith rejected 21 shots on goal for Pembroke. The Lumber Kings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Kanata incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
