Stephen Bayliss netted a hat trick to lead the Carleton Place Canadians over the Kemptville 73s, 9-2. Bayliss' first goal came 4:40 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:27 into the second and at 11:09 into the second.Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 18:41 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. Carleton Place was often in penalty trouble, totaling 11 minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time.
