Hawkesbury wins tough contest against Smiths Falls, 4-3Smiths Falls Memorial Centre Tue, Nov 20, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Hawkesbury Hawks escaped with a 4-3 victory over the Smiths Falls Bears. Hawkesbury gained the winning advantage on a goal by Holden Anderson 13:01 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. The Hawks' penalty kill excelled, as Hawkesbury gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. The Hawks were led by Anderson, who registered one goal and one assist. Hawkesbury stifled Smiths Falls' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Hawkesbury additionally got points from Antonio Roumeliotis, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Carl Faucher also scored for Hawkesbury. More assists for Hawkesbury came via Pietro Antonelli, who had three and Mathieu Galipeau, William Plamondon, and Ryan Kruss, who each chipped in one.
