Audi's goals lift Pembroke to 5-1 victory over Ottawa

Behind a great game by Emilio Audi, who had two goals, the Pembroke Lumber Kings defeated the Ottawa Senators, 5-1.

Audi scored on the power play at 16:18 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Pembroke and again while 15:52 into the second to make the score 5-1 Pembroke.

Pembroke forced Senators' netminders to work without much rest, launching 35 shots and forcing 30 saves. Charlie Millen made 22 stops and Alexandre Savard-Belanger made eight. The Lumber Kings managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Pembroke finished below its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game.

Pembroke also got points from Brendan Mcguire, who also registered one goal and two assists. Timmy Moore also scored for Pembroke. Other players who recorded assists for Pembroke were Carl-Philippe Ouimet, who had two and Charlie Connell, Jared Steege, Philippe Drouin, Patrice Wren, and Tyler Gaudet, who each chipped in one.

Ottawa was held below its usual level of production. The Senators average 3.6 goals per game.

Ottawa was led by Ben Robillard, who scored the team's only goal. Robillard scored 1:05 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ottawa. Riley Hennigar picked up the assist.

Andy Munroe rejected 18 shots on goal for the Lumber Kings. Pembroke registered one goal on six power play opportunities. The Senators incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
