Blasko's big game bests Kemptville in 7-0 Brockville win

The Brockville Braves' Ben Blasko had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing three assists in his team's 7-0 win over the Kemptville 73s.

Blasko found the back of the net 16:00 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Brockville and again while on the power play 5:29 into the third to make the score 5-0 Brockville.

Brockville put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Kemptville to score on any of its four power plays. The 73s were unable to stop the Braves from sending pucks towards the net, and Brockville eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. The Braves outdid their season average for goals scored. Brockville averages 3.3 goals per game.

Brockville also got points from David Ferreira, who also tallied one goal and four assists to lead the team in points and Cory Wilson, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Brockville also got a goal from Owen Gill as well. More assists for Brockville came via Shane Riddell, who had two and Aaron Hickie and Anthony Pino, who contributed one a piece.

Kemptville could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The 73s average 2.4 goals per game.

The Braves' Cody Karpinski stopped 20 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Brockville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Jacob Tugnutt rejected 28 shots on goal for Kemptville. The 73s incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
