Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, the Cornwall Colts battled back to claim a 3-2 victory over the Hawkesbury Hawks.

Cornwall never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Colts was down 2-0 after a goal by Hawkesbury's Holden Anderson at 13:14 in the second period. Cornwall knotted things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Michael Pontarelli at 11:02 in the third period. The Colts netted the game winner on the power play at 16:11 in the third period on a goal by Pontarelli.

Cornwall was led by Billy Ulrick, who finished with one goal.

The Colts excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Cornwall forced the Hawks goalie Carmine Guerriero to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots.

Cornwall additionally got points from Pontarelli, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Cornwall also got a goal from Trent Durocher as well.
