Braedan Moffatt racked up one point to lead the Kanata Stallions to a 5-2 victory over the Gloucester Rangers. Kanata put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Gloucester to score on any of its four power plays. Kanata additionally got points from Nic LaBurn, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Kanata also had goals scored by Reid Murphy, who had one and Fabian Walsh, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Kanata were Curtis Watson, who had two, Mike Zajac, who had three, and C Blakely, Joe Breslin, Doug Harvey, and Alex Stothart, who contributed one a piece. The Rangers were helped by Patrick White, who registered one goal. White scored 9:29 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Cullen Van Strien assisted on the tally. Christian Leger also scored for Gloucester. Brayden St-Germain recorded 26 saves for the Stallions. Kanata incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Gloucester's Gunner Rivers stopped 25 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Rangers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. |
