Alex Frere finished with two points to lead the Carleton Place Canadians to a 3-1 victory over the Cumberland Grads. Carleton Place put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Cumberland to score on any of its four power plays. The Canadians forced the Grads goalie Devan Tremblay to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Carleton Place additionally got points from Alex Globke, who also racked up one goal and two assists and Luke Kasteel, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Larry Smith and Michael Maciag, who each chipped in one. Cumberland was led by Matthew Morin, who scored the team's only goal. Morin scored 13:36 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Zach Rodier provided the assist. Justin Laforest recorded 20 saves for Carleton Place. The Canadians incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Devan Tremblay made 32 saves for the Grads on 35 shots. Cumberland incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
