Cornwall falls to Gloucester in overtime, 2-1 (OT)Earl Armstrong Arena Sun, Oct 28, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Patrick White gave the Gloucester Rangers a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Cornwall Colts when he scored 4:01 into the extra period. Gloucester was led by goalie Gianmarco De Meis, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of De Meis will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.48. The Rangers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 12 penalty minutes. Gloucester put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Cornwall to score on any of its six power plays. The Rangers kept the Colts' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jordan Piccolino made 29 saves on 31 shots. Matt Rosebrook also scored for Gloucester. Other players who recorded assists for Gloucester were Cory Durocher, who had two and Colton Keuhl and Christian Leger, who each chipped in one. Cornwall did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Colts average 3.5 goals per game. Cornwall was led by Andrew Ming, who scored the team's only goal. Ming scored 18:38 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Mitch Zion assisted on the tally. Gloucester registered one goal on two power play opportunities. The Colts incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
