Pembroke falls to Brockville after surprising comeback

The Brockville Braves rallied from two goals down to secure a 4-3 win over the Pembroke Lumber Kings.

Brockville never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Braves trailed 2-0 after a power play goal by Pembroke's Keegan Harper at 17:20 in the first period. Brockville tied things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Erik Brown at 8:24 in the third period. The Braves got the game winner at 16:02 in the third period on a goal by Brown.

Brockville struggled on the penalty kill, allowing the Lumber Kings to score two power play goals on three chances.

Brockville also got a goal from Jonathan Power as well. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville were Ben Blasko, who had one, Zach Todd, who had three, and Nathan Todd and Taylor Henry, who each chipped in two.

Pembroke's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Pembroke also got points from Emilio Audi, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. More assists for Pembroke came via Brendan Mcguire, who had two and Philippe Drouin and Timmy Moore, who contributed one a piece.

Cody Karpinski made 24 saves for the Braves on 27 shots. Brockville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Darren Smith rejected 26 shots on goal for the Lumber Kings. Pembroke incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
