Dalpe leads Pembroke over Kanata, 5-2

Ben Dalpe was all over the ice for the Pembroke Lumber Kings, as he tallied one goal and two assists in Pembroke's 5-2 win over the Kanata Stallions.

Dalpe beat Brandon Lane with a shot 18:06 into the second period on the power play to make the score 2-2. The Lumber Kings had gotten the advantage when Kanata's Mike Zajac was sent off for holding. Jordan Larson picked up the assist. Dalpe dished an assist on Stephen Hrehoriak's goal that made the score 3-2 Pembroke at 10:49 into the third period. He added another helper on Larson's goal that made the score 5-2 Pembroke at 17:40 into the third period.

Pembroke's penalty kill excelled, as the Lumber Kings gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Pembroke stifled the Stallions' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Lumber Kings kept Kanata's goalie busy throughout the game, and Lane made 37 saves on 42 shots.

Pembroke also got points from Emilio Audi, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Larson, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Liam Biard, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Pembroke came via Keegan Harper, who had two and Michael Crocock, Philippe Drouin, and Timmy Moore, who contributed one a piece.

The Stallions were led by Derian Plouffe, who tallied one goal and one assist. Plouffe scored 4:02 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kanata. Brandon Petrie assisted on the tally. Kanata also got a goal from Curtis Watson as well. In addition, Kanata received assists from Devin Fullum, who had one.

Pembroke's starting goalie, Andy Munroe, made 21 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Darren Smith, who stopped zero shots. The Lumber Kings incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Kanata incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. For the Stallions, Petrie was ejected from the game.
