Ferreira lifts Brockville over Gloucester, 4-1

Behind a great game by David Ferreira, who had two goals, the Brockville Braves defeated the Gloucester Rangers, 4-1.

Ferreira found the back of the net 15:51 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brockville and again while on the power play 2:09 into the second to make the score 2-0 Brockville.

Brockville pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

The Braves forced Gloucester goalie Gianmarco De Meis to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

Brockville also got a goal from Zach Todd as well. More assists for Brockville came via Anthony Pino, who had two and Ben Blasko, Chris Roll, Jonathan Power, Nathan Todd, Taylor Henry, and Kevin Kirisits, who each chipped in one.

The Rangers were led by Stevie Ray Adams, who scored the team's only goal. Adams scored on the power play 14:24 into the third period to make the score 4-1 Brockville. Gloucester had gained a power play chance when Todd was whistled for slashing. Alexandre Boivin picked up the assist.

Brockville's Cody Karpinski stopped 22 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Braves registered one goal on four power play opportunities. De Meis recorded 29 saves for the Rangers. Gloucester incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
