Gloucester downs Cumberland in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Matt Rosebrook gave the Gloucester Rangers a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Cumberland Grads when he scored 4:42 into the extra period.

Gloucester overcame a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Rangers trailed 4-1 after a goal by Cumberland's Eric Clitsome at 10:14 in the second period. Gloucester tied things up at 4-4 on a power play goal by Christian Leger at 15:23 in the third period.

Rosebrook was all over the ice for the Rangers, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win.

Gloucester put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Grads to score on any of their three power plays. The Rangers' offense rang up 31 shots on Cumberland's net. Gloucester surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Rangers average 2.8 goals per contest.

Gloucester additionally got points from Patrick White, who also had one goal and one assist and Stevie Ray Adams, who also registered one goal and one assist. Gloucester also got a goal from Keegan Rowe as well. In addition, Gloucester received assists from Andrew Rossy, who had two and Austin Romzek, Alexandre Boivin, and Samuel Quaranta, who each chipped in one.

The Grads kept Gloucester's goalie busy throughout the game, and Gunner Rivers made 35 saves on 39 shots.

Cumberland was helped by Nick Martin, who racked up one goal. Martin scored 5:55 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Cumberland. Travis Douglas also scored for Cumberland. Other players who recorded assists for Cumberland were Bobby Williams, David Wilkie, Philippe Paquette, Matthew Morin, and Justin Pelock, who contributed one a piece.

The Rangers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Devan Tremblay rejected 26 shots on goal for the Grads. Cumberland incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
