Rossy nets hat trick, leads Gloucester to 6-3 win over Cornwall

A hat trick by Andrew Rossy was the highlight in Rangers' 6-3 win against the Cornwall Colts.

Rossy got on the scoresheet 16:44 into the first period. He then added goals at 46 seconds into the second and at 11:06 into the second.

The Gloucester Rangers forced Cornwall goalie Jordan Piccolino to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots. Gloucester outdid its season average for goals scored. The Rangers average 3.0 goals per game. Gloucester struggled on the penalty kill, allowing the Colts to score two power play goals on three chances. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Gloucester also got points from Colton Keuhl, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Gloucester also got a goal from Matt Rosebrook as well. Other players who recorded assists for Gloucester were Keegan Rowe, who had two, Christian Leger, Austin Romzek, and Daniel Baslyk, who each chipped in one, and Alexandre Boivin and Stevie Ray Adams, who contributed three a piece.

Cornwall's offense rang up 31 shots on the Rangers' net.

The Colts were helped by Khalid Alli, who registered one goal. Alli scored on the power play 3:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cornwall. Cornwall had gotten the advantage when Gloucester's Boivin was sent off for boarding. Stephen Johnson assisted on the tally. Sean King also scored for Cornwall. More assists for Cornwall came via Roman Ammirato, who had two and Billy Ulrick and Ryan Kruss, who each chipped in one.

Gianmarco De Meis rejected 28 shots on goal for the Rangers. Gloucester incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Colts' Piccolino stopped 39 shots out of the 45 that he faced. Cornwall incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
