Brockville outlasts Ottawa, 3-2

The game between the Brockville Braves and the Ottawa Senators was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Brockville emerged with a 3-2 win.

The Braves gained the winning advantage on a goal by David Ferreira 19:12 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Brockville was sparked by Ferreira, who tallied one goal and one assist.

The Braves' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Ottawa power plays. Brockville's offense rang up 36 shots on Ottawa's net.

Brockville also got points from Zach Todd, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Ben Blasko, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Brockville came via Griffen Molino, who had one.

The Senators were helped by Dylan Giberson, who registered one goal. Giberson scored 9:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ottawa. Luc Deschamps provided the assist. Ottawa also got a goal from Ryan Collins as well. Other players who recorded assists for Ottawa were Owen Werthner, Greg Jansz, and Michael Evelyn, who each chipped in one.

Matthew Jenkins made 22 saves for the Braves on 24 shots. Brockville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Charlie Millen recorded 33 saves for Ottawa. The Senators incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
