Greg Jansz was all over the ice for the Ottawa Senators, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Ottawa's 3-1 win over the Gloucester Rangers. Jansz's tallies came at 1:49 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ottawa and 16:39 into the third to make the score 2-1 Ottawa.The Senators were led by goalie Charlie Millen, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. Millen managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.63 prior to the game. Ottawa pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes. The Senators stifled Gloucester's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Ottawa kept the Rangers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Gunner Rivers made 28 saves on 31 shots. Ottawa also got a goal from Hunter Racine as well. Other players who recorded assists for Ottawa were Joey Champigny, who had one and Ryan Collins, who had two. Gloucester was led by Alexandre Boivin, who scored the team's only goal. Boivin scored 11:17 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Chad Millett assisted on the tally. The Senators registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. The Rangers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
