The Ottawa Senators were firing on all cylinders against the Carleton Place Canadians, and when the final buzzer sounded Senators emerged with a 4-1 win. Ottawa was paced by Eric Witzel, who tallied one goal and one assist. Witzel scored 1:30 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Ottawa. The Senators' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Carleton Place power plays. Ottawa additionally got points from Stephen Inman, who also had one goal and one assist.
