Pembroke falls to Hawkesbury in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Hawkesbury Hawks pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the Pembroke Lumber Kings on a clutch goal by Pietro Antonelli.

Hawkesbury was led by goalie Carmine Guerriero, who finished with 31 saves while allowing one goal. Guerriero certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.33 entering the contest.

The Hawks' penalty kill excelled, as Hawkesbury gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays.

The Hawks stifled Pembroke's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Hawkesbury additionally got points from Antonio Roumeliotis, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Hawkesbury came via William Plamondon and Mac Blanchette, who contributed one a piece.

The Lumber Kings could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Pembroke averages 3.3 goals per game. The Lumber Kings' offense rang up 32 shots on Hawkesbury's net.

Pembroke was led by Stephen Hrehoriak, who scored the team's only goal. Hrehoriak scored 15:53 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Pembroke. Brendan Mcguire provided the assist.

The Hawks incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Andy Munroe recorded 25 saves for the Lumber Kings. Pembroke incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
