The Brockville Braves took home the 5-2 victory over the Kemptville 73s. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 11:22 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. Brockville forced Kemptville's netminders to work all game long, launching 33 shots and forcing 28 saves. Billy Cooper made 13 stops and Dylan BrindAmour made 15. The Braves were helped by Griffen Molino, who had two goals. Molino scored the first of his two goals at 14:18 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Brockville. Ben Blasko assisted on the tally. Molino's next tally made the score 5-2 Brockville with 1:09 left in the third period. Taylor Henry provided the assist. Brockville also got points from Henry, who also registered one goal and one assist and Hayden Hulton, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Zach Todd also scored for Brockville. Other players who recorded assists for Brockville were Nathan Todd, who had one and Chris Roll, who had three. The 73s forced Brockville goalie Matthew Jenkins to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. Kemptville was helped by Mason Nowak, who tallied one goal. Nowak scored on the power play 8:35 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Brockville. The 73s earned a power play opportunity when Todd was put in the box for interference. Blaine Byron assisted on the tally. Kemptville also got a goal from Stephen Cooney as well. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Zach Lindsay and Shane Snow, who each chipped in one. Matthew Jenkins made 31 saves for the Braves on 33 shots. Brockville totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play. The Braves ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ryan Walter was ejected from the game. Kemptville totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-6 on the power play. For the 73s, Ben St Marseille was ejected from the game.
