Ottawa downs Pembroke, 5-2

Anthony Bada racked up two points to lead the Ottawa Senators to a 5-2 victory over the Pembroke Lumber Kings.

Ottawa also got points from Ryan Collins, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Ottawa included Stephen Inman, who had one and Ben Robillard, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Ottawa were Marc Shanks, who had one, Luc Deschamps, who had three, and Greg Jansz and Hunter Racine, who contributed two a piece.

Pembroke was helped by Owen McDade, who registered one goal. McDade scored on the power play 3:05 into the third period to make the score 2-2. The Lumber Kings had taken the advantage when Ottawa's Derek Brown got sent off for tripping. Ben Dalpe assisted on the tally. Pembroke also got a goal from Emilio Audi as well.

The Senators' Charlie Millen stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Ottawa incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Darren Smith made 24 saves for Pembroke on 29 shots. The Lumber Kings incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
