Behind a great game by Michael Vered, who had two goals, the Nepean Raiders defeated the Brockville Braves, 4-1. Vered scored at 11:49 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 12:50 into the second to make the score 2-1 Nepean.Nepean's Matt Zawadzki was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 41 saves and let only one puck past him. Zawadzki managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.79 prior to the game. The Raiders excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Nepean additionally got points from Dalen Hedges, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Nepean also got a goal from Brent Norris as well. Other players who recorded assists for Nepean were Kenneth Neil, who had three and Alex ODea, Keenan Hodgson, and Isaak Savard, who contributed one a piece. Brockville stifled Nepean's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Braves could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Brockville averages 3.4 goals per game. The Braves' offense rang up 42 shots on the Raiders' net. Brockville was led by David Ferreira, who scored the team's only goal. Ferreira scored 11:19 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Brockville. Chris Roll picked up the assist. Nepean incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. For the Raiders, Tanner Williams was ejected from the game. The Braves' Matthew Jenkins stopped 17 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Brockville incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
