The Ottawa Senators had trouble finding ways to stop the Carleton Place Canadians, which beat Senators, 4-1. Carleton Place pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes. The Canadians were paced by Luke Kasteel, who had one goal. Kasteel scored 10:01 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Carleton Place. Luke Edwards provided the assist. Carleton Place's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Ottawa power plays. The Canadians' offense rang up 49 shots on Ottawa's net. Carleton Place also got points from Kevin Dufour, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Alex Globke, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Evan Peterson also scored for Carleton Place.
