Nepean rolls over Kemptville, 9-3Nepean Sportsplex Rink 1 Wed, Sep 19, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Nepean Raiders' Brent Norris had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 9-3 win over the Kemptville 73s. Norris found the back of the net on the power play 18:32 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Nepean and again while 13:04 into the third to make the score 9-2 Nepean.Kemptville was unable to stop Nepean from sending pucks towards the net, and the Raiders eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. Nepean found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Raiders average 5.0 goals per game. Nepean additionally got points from Tanner Williams, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Vincent Llorca, who also finished with one goal and three assists, and Cameron Yarwood, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Nepean also had goals scored by Luke Scott, who had one and Maxim Cote, who had three. In addition, Nepean received assists from Derek Diaz, who had three and Alex ODea, Dalen Hedges, Keenan Hodgson, Mitchell Herlihey, Michael Keenan, and Andrew DeBrincat, who each chipped in one. The 73s' offense rang up 33 shots on Nepean's net. Kemptville was helped by Mason Nowak, who racked up one goal. Nowak scored 11:19 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Kemptville also got a goal from Stevie Ray Adams as well. More assists for Kemptville came via Cody Hendsbee, who had one and Jesse Lussier, who had two. Matt Zawadzki recorded 30 saves for the Raiders. Nepean incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Dylan BrindAmour rejected 31 shots on goal for the 73s. Kemptville incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
