The Cumberland Grads tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Carleton Place Canadians would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3. Carleton Place made the score 3-0 on a goal by Luke Edwards at 3:18 in the second period, and Cumberland got as close as 3-2 when Matt Allan scored 10 seconds into the third period. The Canadians' penalty kill excelled, as Carleton Place gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. The Canadians stifled the Grads' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Carleton Place's offense rang up 32 shots on Cumberland's net. The Canadians were led by Stephen Bayliss, who tallied one goal and one assist. Bayliss scored 6:29 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Carleton Place. Brock Edwards picked up the assist. Carleton Place also got points from Edwards, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Edwards, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Kelly Summers also scored for Carleton Place.
